Shipped, dated, and what is next

Changelog

Every entry names a version or a document. The list of what is next comes from the readiness plan and carries target dates, not promises.

October 2026

  1. This site, published at kingola.dev

First public deploy. Upstream fixes now have their own section, the liquidity engine joins the featured work, and the three targets that have passed are marked missed below instead of re-dated.

    Released in · kingola.dev

  2. ffn v1.3.0 credits four fixes

ffn's v1.3.0 release notes name the four merged PRs: the ulcer performance index annualised, rounding residue no longer read as tracking error, month-end lookback anchors, and a history guard on 3y, 5y and 10y returns. Databento shipped both reported fixes in 0.71.0 and 0.72.0.

    Released in · ffn v1.3.0 · dbn 0.71.0, 0.72.0

  3. Liquidity engine published, with a negative result

A deterministic Rust engine for BTC perpetual order books on Binance, Bybit and OKX. It replicates Cont, Kukanov and Stoikov's order-flow imbalance result and partly replicates Farmer et al. The strategy it was built for failed its pre-registered test, and the repo says so in its first paragraph.

September 2026

  1. Bugs reported to Databento, Goldman Sachs, and Alpaca

Two issues on Databento's dbn, both fixed by the maintainers within days. Six issues and five fix PRs on Goldman Sachs' gs-quant, filed under its DCO. One PR on Alpaca's MCP server adding read-only and destructive hints to every generated trading tool.

Released in · dbn fixed · gs-quant and Alpaca open

  2. Metric bugs reported upstream

Reference-value tests in cernos-rs found metric bugs in five open-source quant libraries. quantstats confirmed its three and shipped the fix in v0.0.82. skfolio merged the drawdown fix the same day and released it in v1.4.1; ffn merged all four PRs. PRs are open on Qlib and barter-rs.

Released in · quantstats v0.0.82 · skfolio v1.4.1 · ffn, four PRs merged

  3. This site, first build

Static Next.js export. Six featured projects, three findings, a growth ledger of every attempt, a plain one-page resume, and a changelog that records missed targets instead of deleting them.

Released in · portfolio v1 · static export

  4. Portfolio spec and readiness plan

What the portfolio must say and what has to be true first. Six load-bearing builds, in priority order, with dates.

    Released in · PORTFOLIO_SPEC v0.1 · ROLE_READINESS v0.1

  5. CreditWatch 1.0.0

Menu-bar runway monitor for prepaid GPU credit. macOS claimed; Windows and Linux built and tested but unclaimed until a human runs the installed binary.

    Released in · CreditWatch 1.0.0 · macOS

May 2026

  1. Rig v0.1.5

Semantic codebase graph served over MCP. Six-stage index, live browser map, auto-wiring for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex.

    Released in · rig-constellation 0.1.5 · npm
